Business cards are essential tools for networking and making a lasting impression on potential clients or business partners. Paper business cards, while widely used in the past, come with several drawbacks in the modern business landscape. That's why at SSW, we have transitioned from physical business cards to digital business cards using the HiHello app.

See the rule: https://www.ssw.com.au/rules/business-cards-branding/

Using HiHello - Digital Business Cards:

  1. Download and Install HiHello App: Employees are required to download and install the HiHello app from the relevant app store (iOS or Android). The app can be found at https://www.hihello.me/.
  2. Create Your Digital Business Card: Once the HiHello app is installed, employees should sign up or log in to their account. Follow the prompts to create a digital business card by entering contact details, selecting a template, and customizing the design to reflect your personal brand.
  3. Share Your Digital Business Card: When meeting clients or business partners, share your digital business card using the HiHello app's sharing feature. You can send the card via email, text message, or through QR codes for seamless connectivity.
  4. Add Your Digital Business Card to Your Phone's Wallet: To enhance accessibility, consider adding your digital business card to your phone's wallet. For iPhone users, tap the "Share" button in the HiHello app and select "Add to Wallet." For Android users, save the digital business card as an image file and add it to Google Pay or Samsung Pay following the appropriate steps.
  5. Keep Employee Profile Information Updated: To ensure consistency between your digital business card and your employee profile, regularly update your contact information in both the HiHello app and the company's employee directory.

The HiHello app offers a versatile, environmentally friendly, and professional approach to networking, ensuring that our interactions with clients and business partners are efficient and impactful.

When you receive a clients contact, ensure you enter the information into CRM. This will make sure data is not lost. If you received a physical business card, don't keep it. Update CRM with the contact and then put a circle on the business card. This indicates it has been entered.

Utilizing LinkedIn’s QR code scanner

If downloading apps isn’t your thing, or your HiHello app isn’t working, you can use the built-in LinkedIn QR code scanner. (Note, this will not share your contact details)

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to use it:

  1. Launch the LinkedIn app on your device.
  2. Tap on the search bar located at the top of the screen.
  3. Look to the right side where you'll find an icon resembling a QR scanner. Tap on this icon.
  4. This will display your unique QR code, allowing others to scan it. Alternatively, you can tap the scan button to scan someone else's QR code.

This approach offers an efficient means of leveraging LinkedIn's features, and it's bound to leave a positive impression on anyone you connect with.
