Consultancies make money by hiring out their staff on an hourly rate. In order to keep track of how much work we have done for each client, we enter timesheets and invoice for them weekly.

Who should enter timesheets:

  • SSW Developers timesheets are to be entered into SSW TimePro Daily
  • SSW Admins times do not need to be entered into TimePro (unless it is Client related)

France Office: Use the following link SSW TimePro France

It is your responsibility to keep your timesheets entered and updated. At the end of every week, you must ensure that your time is entered accurately for that week. Do not start client work on Monday until this is done.

Important: Timesheet notes are visible on the client invoices, so write valuable information.

If you are up to date with your timesheets by Friday lunchtime, you receive free lunch on that day as a reward, so get it done!

  1. Read the following standard to learn how to correctly enter timesheets: Rules to Better Timesheets

  2. Watch how you can do timesheets quickly with TimePro - Get your timesheets done in 30 seconds

Note: Please create your TimePro account even if you don’t do client work.

  1. Head to SSW TimePro.

  1. Click "Add timesheet" to enter your timesheet for today

  2. Choose your "Client", "Project", and "Category"

    For anyone doing Induction, use:

    • Client: "SSW (SSW)"
    • Project: "Induction"
    • Category: "Induction"

    For anyone doing FireBootCamp, use:

    • Client: "SSW (SSW)"
    • Project: "SSW FireBootCamp Training"
    • Category: "Training"

After your induction is complete or you are onboarded to a project, you will enter the relevant information on your timesheets. E.g.:

    • Client: "Northwind"
    • Project: "Traders App"
    • Category: "Database Development"

If you're a part-time employee and need to add a timesheet on a non-working day, enter the following information:

    • Client: "SSW"
    • Project: "Non-working day (e.g. Leave)"
    • Category: "Non-working day - Part-time Employee"
  3. Enter the description of your work in the "Notes" field. The "Notes" field is compulsory for client work so that we can show the value we delivered. We encourage you to put in details of tasks that you complete for the day as per Do you know how to describe the work you have done?

Tip: If your day has gone to plan, you can copy and paste your Daily Scrum

  1. Complete the time fields:

    • Time Start: Time you started work
    • Time End: Time you intend finishing work
    • Time Less: 1 hour (for lunch)

Tip: You can setup default hours in TimePro | My Settings

  1. The remaining fields will be filled by default. Review them to ensure they are correct

  2. Click "Add" to complete your timesheet
