πŸ“‹ SSW Alarm Systems - Follow the steps for each office

SSW Offices have different alarm systems and locks for each place:

  • Sydney - Control4
  • Newcastle - Gira (KNX)
  • Melbourne - Salto KS
  • Brisbane - Control4 & Unifi
  • China - Mi Home & Unifi

  3. Go to your office location below and action the steps

Sydney & Brisbane - Control4

In Sydney, we use Control4 to integrate and control all of our building services. This includes:

  • The security system
  • The blinds
  • The lights
  • The air conditioning
  • Music
  • TVs

In Brisbane, we use Control4 to integrate and control some of our building services. This includes:

If added to both sites, you can switch between the two offices within the Control4 App in your Setting Options.

Task: Learn, install and use Control4

  1. [Timebox 5 minutes] Read our Control4 rules. It will have the links to the iOS and the Android apps

  2. Install Control4 on your phone: https://www.control4.com/solutions/control4-app/

  3. You'll need a Control4 Admin to set up a user account for you. If one does not exist for you, please send an email request to the SysAdmins using Outlook | New Email | Content Chooser | All Staff Single Use Email Templates | Select induction-part-2-add-control4-user

  4. Once you got access to Control4, get a SysAdmin to show the magic of automation. For example: Lower or raise the blinds, Turn AC on or off, etc

  5. Use the new app to test Control4 by turning on and off the air conditioner in the board room

Brisbane - Unifi Access

In Brisbane, we use NFC on our phones via the Unifi App to gain access to both the external building and the key. You should already have access after completing: https://my.sugarlearning.com/SSW/items/13092/security-getting-access-to-ssw-offices

Newcastle - Gira (KNX)

In Newcastle, we use Gira to integrate and control most of our building services. This includes:

  • The security system
  • The lights

Task: Learn, install and use Gira

  1. [Timebox 15 minutes] Read our Gira guide at Intranet | SSW Newcastle – How to setup the Gira App - It will have the links to the iOS and the Android apps, you will install and ask for a credential to be provided to you by SysAdmins

  2. IMPORTANT - The credential provided by SysAdmins has an expiration date of about 2 days. You will need to action fast when you receive his reply email.

  3. Use the new app to test Gira by locking and unlocking the front door

Melbourne - Salto KS

In Melbourne, we use Salto KS - Keys as a Service to control building access.

Note: You can use your phone and/or a fob to unlock the door.

China - Unifi Access & Mi Home

In China, we use RFID Key Tag or NFC on our phones (Android Only) to gain access to the office. This includes:

  • The front door

Task: Get the key

  1. Ask Alvin to create your access account, get your RFID Key Tag and set a password. If you are using Android Phone, Alvin could also directly assign the access permission to the NFC on your phone.
  2. Test the RFID Key Tag and the password works by locking and unlocking the front door

In China, we use Mi Home to integrate and control some of our office services. It is currently Admin Only. This includes:

  • Air purifier
  • Water purifier
  • TV
  • Front Bell
  • Security Camera

French Office - pending:
As offices have not yet been established, French employees do not need to do anything for this item. TODO: Jean – update this item when an office is established
