When you join SSW as a contractor or employee your face will be scanned into SSW Sophie which will record your face biometric data. This data is encrypted. This allows SSW Sophie to recognize you when you pass by an SSW Sophie Camera. SSW Sophie Cameras are located within Suite 11 in SSW's Sydney office.
SSW Sophie screens (located with the SSW Sophie Camera) will then display relevant and useful information to you such as calendar appointments, booked in days, and remind you about missing timesheets. Sophie might also give you praise for a great month of billable work or a project you recently won.
SSW Sophie is one way SSW stays ahead of the technology game. By using advanced bio-metric systems in our own office, we improve our expertise in the services we deliver.
As the technology develops, we expect you will be able to customize the information displayed on the SSW Sophie Screens.
By working at SSW, you agree that your facial biometric data will be collected and stored in SSW Sophie for use in the SSW Sophie system.
SSW SophieBot 🤖
SSW SophieBot is our internal AI, one of its features is an employee presence check. This works by checking whose phone is connected to the SSW Wifi network.
Note: You will configure SSW SophieBot in a later module.
SSW SophieBot is an ongoing electronic list on the SSW Intranet of whose phone is connected to an SSW Wi-Fi network. After your mac address is entered into SSW CRM when your phone connects to an SSW Wi-Fi (e.g. when you turn up for the day) you flash as “in”. Obviously, when your phone drops out of the Wifi (e.g. when you leave for the day or go to lunch) you show as “Last seen X hours ago”.
SSW SophieBot helps everyone know who is in what SSW office. It makes it easy for you to check if someone is in the office (or which office) in an instant. Type "Who is in Sydney" (or "Who is in Brisbane") in the Teams Message box and find out who's in and out straight away.
You need to make sure you keep your Wifi on when you’re at SSW.
